Dock Project Update

Work has begun on the first phase of the dock project - replacing the deck boards on the permanent piers of both Dock 1 and Dock 2.

As decided at the Rivers Edge Association special assessment meeting in October, the dock work was split into two phases:

  • Phase 1 involves replacing the worn-out and splintered deck planks on both docks and is being performed by the all-volunteer dock committee team, led by Ken McGowan.

  • Phase 2 involves the replacement of the floating piers and will be completed in 2024 by Beacon Marine, once all assessment funds are collected.

If you haven't had the opportunity to see the progress, it's worth taking a look! Please be careful in the area though as there are still some loose planks and discard piles with splinters and nails.
