Work has begun on the first phase of the dock project - replacing the deck boards on the permanent piers of both Dock 1 and Dock 2.
As decided at the Rivers Edge Association special assessment meeting in October, the dock work was split into two phases:
Phase 1 involves replacing the worn-out and splintered deck planks on both docks and is being performed by the all-volunteer dock committee team, led by Ken McGowan.
If you haven't had the opportunity to see the progress, it's worth taking a look! Please be careful in the area though as there are still some loose planks and discard piles with splinters and nails.
