Summer is [Almost] Here!!!

Even though the calendar says that summer is officially a little over a month away, the last few weeks have sure seemed like summer. The ospreys are back, everything is blooming.

With the nice weather upon us, we hope everyone can get out and enjoy a nice walk or take advantage of the combined tennis/pickleball courts which now have the nets up and are ready for action!

Perhaps getting out on fabulous Childs River is more to your liking. A few of us have already taken advantage of the Kayak rack over by Dock 1. There are plenty of spots still remaining.

Speaking of kayaking by Dock 1 many have noticed or already taken advantage of the mechanical kayak loader that a few neighbors installed last year. This has been a real game-changer for launching your kayak off the dock.

One helpful pointer. Be mindful of the two release levers that must be raised before the loader can be lowered into the water (see images below). And, as stated on the sign, please remember that these loaders are only strong enough to support the weight of your empty kayak which must be lowered to a point where it is sitting in the water before you can embark and disembark.
